Quintessential Guru

Fruit trees loaded with peaches, pears and pomegranates, beautifully flowers adorned creepers with a dash of pink, orange and bright colors; with stairs running in steep upways amidst stony buildings, noiseless roads and calm Aegean sea, what else do we need to let our hair down

Part two

All days are not moody, just as the days passed by everything became familiar and dear as well as making sense. I just love that stone building and lovely atmosphere and those steps from below road leading to the open seating area. Tastefully done I can say and those flowering plants and lo behold !! the breathtaking background of the silvery seashore. If it’s cloudy with sun rays trying to break in, it’s still more spectacular.

And you just love the ambiance if its so heavenly right. And as our cab driver said 95 % will come back, oh pretty good stats!!

Fruit trees loaded with peaches, pears and pomegranates, beautifully flowers adorned creepers with a dash of pink, orange and bright colors; with stairs running in steep upways amidst stony buildings, noiseless roads and calm Aegean sea, what else do we need to let our hair down? But am on a mission, a pleasant one.

My host Maria and her husband were very congenial. Even when I husband challenged him to spell his name Maria’s Husband quickly byhearted ‘srinivas’ and rendered it in a jiffy. Her mom 75 years young will be talking to us, she speaks only Greece , we English  could communicate through somehow, it was fun rather. In there people think for 5 minutes to come up with one English word and we will be kept guessing.img_20190920_081811

As we neared completion, made new friends like Dr.Dhanalakshmi from Pondicherry with whom we had a good time, we ate together, clicked pics together and also learnt together.

But I must admire the weather in Alonissos its very disciplined and obeys Met department unlike in India. Needless to say it was sultry by mid week and reminiscing chennai but nowhere near to our harsh sultry, sweaty climate. It was announced rains on friday so academy’s get together was on thusday night itself.

We got to the party after our class and it was nowhere reciprocal of a western party. We were as ourselves plain Janes and most wore still more elegant dresses. I realised why Westren women are being stared at in Asian countries, coz  they are drop dead gorgeous . Oh! Come on don’t tell me now that Indian women are beautiful I know that after all.

Indian girls had different plans I guess and many were in traditional attire. But it turned out for the sake of dance and culturals which was mostly by Pune college students who performed spectacularly .

A memorable evening with dances from Kathak to Samba, songs sung in Hindi to Malay and swedish too. Its vivid hues of different ethnicities and a true global conglomeration. We enjoyed each bit of it to the fullest and tried to shake our legs to the lilting music with everyone . But  food is to be relished not commented upon.

Talking loudly , laughing without reason and that too without alcohol maybe we alone are capable of,  of course hard trained in our college/ hostel days. We know indeed it was pretentious but all in the game in the name of fun.

And when we were loudly discussing about the party in the cab the driver  got irked and shot the volume. Don’t know how come so called sophisticated people control their volume of voices, aren’t they excited like humans🙄.

As predicted rains poured in on Friday with bone chilling gusty winds by afternoon, and its a surprise how much weather changed and seemed wild in a days matter. Whole place had ankle deep of water and small water falls on all stair upways in the Aloniossis. It was nice to witness an entirely new face of weather in this calm down town.

To be frank am lucky to be with my sister in law (my sis-in-law is my bestie) like buddies who called him bhaiyya wholeheartedly, I was pampered with sumptuous preparations by shilpa and Anjali who had loads of savories. Daily 2 cups of bru coffee and cool weather, how could I even think of coming  out of this heaven? I really wanna stay in this dreamy world aha.

Did I mention about my mission? Yes for that to be fulfilled I should be back home loaded with knowledge passed on by our quintessential guru professor Vithoulkas.

To be blessed is  to have ‘satsang’. I had it utmost, knowledge thirsty fellow homoeopaths, congenial faculty and to top it all our guru. His words instilled ultimate confidence in Homeopathy and I (re)learnt  patience which is dwindling now.img-20190912-wa00641250478406670307212.jpg

I gave him a pic with a write up at back, “Sri Veda Vyas quintessential Guru of all times and sri Ganesh god of knowledge writing epic Mahabharata

With reverence to quintessential guru of our era Sir Vithoulkas

From Indian Homeopaths Rekha, Anjali, Shilpa “. Could say well received, Prof asked me is veda vyasa still alive? I said yes he’s believed to be in the Himalayas.img_20190918_184934

Am on cloud nine when around him and when I took his blessings, one important top thing over in my bucket list meeting the legendary Prof.George Vithoulkas.

Hail Homeopathy
